Ingleborough - Hike Club 11
🥾 Hike Club 11 – Ingleborough & Gaping Gill
Saturday 8th August 2026
Join us for Hike Club 11 as we head into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales to take on one of Yorkshire’s most iconic peaks – Ingleborough.
Starting from the beautiful village of Clapham, this route has a bit of everything. We’ll follow riverside paths to the stunning Ingleborough Cave waterfall before climbing through dramatic limestone scenery towards the famous Gaping Gill, one of Britain’s largest and most impressive potholes.
From there, we’ll continue the ascent to the summit of Ingleborough (723m), one of the legendary Yorkshire Three Peaks. The distinctive flat-topped summit and trig point offer incredible views across the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and beyond.
On the return journey we’ll pass through spectacular limestone landscapes, including the striking limestone gorge and pavements that make this part of the Dales so unique.
This is a fantastic route for anyone looking to experience one of Yorkshire’s classic walks, with plenty of opportunities to stop, take photos and enjoy the scenery along the way.
